Who are these classes for?

My classes are for the curious. Those who are curious about the human body and biomechanics, those that are curious about their own patterns and how to disrupt them. I offer alignment based cues with occasional food for thought on how we can live this practice off the mat.

This collection is also for yoga teachers looking to expand their knowledge of anatomy, posture breakdown, peak pose sequencing, and for those wanting to learn how to turn flow class into a hatha class, without changing the physical focus.

FAQ

Can I do this if I’m new to Yoga?

Yes! Hatha is always a good place to start, but all classes are all levels and provide modifications and variations.

Can I do Yoga if I’m inflexible?

Contrary to popular belief, yoga asana is not for the flexible, rather it is a practice that leads to increased flexibility. So not only can you do yoga asana if you’re inflexible but you SHOULD do it to increase your mobility! Not doing yoga because you’re too tight is like not taking a shower because you’re too dirty.

Do I need props?

Props provide wonderful accessibility to the poses but if you don’t have them you can usually work around it. You will need a yoga mat and a hard surface to place it on. Two yoga blocks and a strap are highly recommended, particularly if you identify as having tight muscles. You can usually sub the props for common household items if need be.
